Major Gifts

While all gifts to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation are important, those in excess of $10,000 are especially vital to the Hospital's continued excellence because:

• they are cost-effective, allowing us to put your funds straight to work helping patients;
• theyfacilitate significant change by funding major projects;
• they help initiate new programs; and
• they provide significant opportunities that would not exist with government funding alone.

Major gift donors receive significant benefits, which depend on the amount of the gift.  Benefits are to be discussed during gift negotiation, and may include:

• possible naming opportunities within the Hospital;
• gift recognition celebration events;
• guided departmental/Hospital tours with key Hospital representatives;
• listing in the annual Report to Donors;
• cheque presentation and photo opportunity; and
• possible snapshots in local media outlet(s).
